Junior Corps

 

To become a member of the Warwick Community Ambulance Junior Corps, an applicant must be in the range of 14 to 17 years of age and reside within the Warwick Ambulance District #1 or the Florida Fire District.

Please mail your application along with photocopies of your valid Driver’s License, First Aid Certificate, and CPR certificate.

Junior Corps members will be trained in both CPR, AED, and First Aid maintaining their certifications in all. Parental permission will be mandatory for members to be participants in meeting, events, etc.

Junior Corps members, after meeting their requirements, can become riding members at the age of 16, riding along with the Senior Corps members. Now, with the new State regulations they can become a Certified Emergency Medical Technician at the age of 17.

Junior Corps members are always under the guidance of our Senior Corps advisors.

Katherine A. Ball Memorial Scholarship

Kathy was a 17 year member of the ambulance corps and was our President when she lost her courageous battle against cancer. Any senior who resides within the Warwick Volunteer Ambulance district is eligible for either a $1000 or $500 scholarship.

 Scholarship applications are available at your local high school guidance office or by calling us at (845) 986-4136. Applications must be postmarked by May 15th.
